There are four major ways to consume CBD: tinctures, ingestion, topical application and inhalation. Tinctures allow you to drop CBD under your tongue and wait 30 seconds before swallowing. This allows the CBD to act in a fast and discreet way. Ingestion may include adding a few CBD drops to your liquids or foods, or consuming edibles already made with CBD in them. This method usually has more of a delay before feeling any effects. The topical application is probably one of the easiest methods being you don’t need any specific tools for consumption. You would apply the balm, lotion or ointment to your skin; particularly in areas where muscle aches occur. Inhalation is the most fast and effective way to consume CBD since it enters your bloodstream through your lungs. You may inhale CBD by smoking or vaping.
